Devoted in Prayer

1 Thessalonians 5:17
“pray without ceasing,”

D. L. Moody is quoted as saying “A man who prays much in private will make short prayers in public.” When we pray without ceasing, we have access to the authority of Heaven that does not cease. As we walk in this authority, we recognize that there is not a need for excessively repetitive prayers that Jesus discouraged us from. Instead, we simply pray inline with the Word as God takes care of the rest.

The Bible declares that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever and that what He has done for one, He will do for another for He is no respecter of persons. However, the Bible also states that we do not have, because we do not ask. How often do we allow fear or doubt to keep us from praying the tough prayers? How often do we allow Satan to quench our prayer life with disasters, disappointments, or delay? In Jesus name, I proclaim today that disasters will meet blessings, disappointments will meet divine appointments, and delay shall never mean denial!

There are moments when we wonder if He is still around and if He is still working. Let me assure you today that He is working everything out for the good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Know today that He is El Roi, the God who sees you! Do not let the devil cause you to give up on your prayers. Pray without ceasing, and watch the Lord work in ways that only He can!
