Isaiah 43:18-19
“18 Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”

While the past may be great for lessons learned, if we are constantly focused on the past, we will not move forward. Satan knows that if he can deceive us into spending too much time regretting our past failures and sin, we will never be prepared for the great plans of God in our near future. God tells us in this passage not to remember the former things. We are unable to just forget our past, so what does this mean? God is telling us to disregard the past- to pay no mind to it. The past offers us valuable lessons, but we must not allow ourselves to get stuck there. As we march forward into this new year, we must focus on what God is doing now, and what He plans to do soon. I believe with all my heart that almighty God is about to pour out blessings that no man can number. I believe He is about to open up the windows of heaven and pour out his spirit upon all flesh, that His creation would prophecy, testify, and dream big. I believe we are about to experience God in our households, churches, and communities like never before. God is about to do a new thing, something so much greater than we can imagine. Let’s begin preparing. Let’s get involved. Let’s dig deeper in the Word, in His anointing, and in His presence. Let’s draw nearer to God as He draws nearer to us for God’s plans are perfect and mighty. We never know how long we have on this Earth, and this may be the last year we have. So let’s make it count.
